Pop Tab Drop on Monument Circle

Help the Ronald McDonald House collect 8 million pop tabs on 8/8/08!

Please Note: Everyone helping on the second shift will be asked to help clean up and tear down.
Blue Sheets
• Give drivers and pedestrian droppers a blue sheet, pen and "thank you card"

Floaters
• Duties as assigned

Give-Away
• Hand out special goodie bags

Information Table
• Hand out pop tab information and pop tab boxes
• Accept donations
• Encourage pedestrians to play "guess the pop tabs"
• Post must always be attended since this is where the extra prizes and money will be

Pop Tab Toss
• One volunteer explains the game to the players (much like BozoÕs Grand Prize Game) and gives player a plastic bag
• Second volunteer gives prizes once buckets are made
• Every player gets a prize

Tab Takers / Dumpers
• Watch for cars driving up, take tabs to volunteers at Gaylord boxes
• Pour tabs into boxes and place trash in trash boxes

Trash Handlers
• Collect trash and take to Emmis facilities
• Break down boxes and stack on skids

Van / Shuttle Driver
• Transport volunteers to and from Circle driving the provided van
• Must be able to provide current driver's license and insurance card on day of event so it can be photocopied and do drive along with the Operations Director.
• Transport set-up crew to the Circle at 8:15 am
• Transport volunteers to and from Limestone
• 9:15 am - take first shift of volunteers to Circle
• 11:45 am - drive second shift of volunteers to the Circle and bring back first shift
• 3 pm - drive second shift of volunteers back to Limestone
• Make one more trip to Circle to pick up left-over people and supplies
8:00 am to 12 noon
11:30 to 3 pm
Volunteer Leader at Limestone
• Check in volunteers at Limestone
• Determine when the shuttle is ready to leave
• Take shuttle to Circle
• Serve as a floater
9:00 am to 12 noon
11:30 to 3 pm
Volunteer Leader on the Circle
• Check in volunteers on the Circle
• Assign volunteers to tasks
• Explain tasks
• Be on the look out for potential problems
• Know where Sara is at all times
• Serve as a floater
