Testimonials

We are thankful for the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana. Everyone is always so supportive and courteous there. The first time "Lil Brian" was admitted to Riley Hospital was in 1993. He was only 18 months old and was diagnosed with cancer. He was in the hospital for 6 months before he was released. If it weren't for the House, we don't know what we would have done. We most certainly couldn't afford a motel for that long.

We stayed at the House many times because of all the surgeries Brian had to have. Often the waiting list was long, which tells you how much in demand the House is. There was always some organization providing a meal. And for all this, they ask a $10 donation for each night. But they never say no if you can't afford that.

The volunteers are all special people who donate so much of their time to helping families like us. When you take your child to the hospital, you worry about what it might be. The Ronald McDonald House is there to help and make life easier for you. They were certainly a great help to us, and we appreciate it so very much. Lil Brian is gone, but we'll never forget all the help and the staff at the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana.

Our family would like to say a big thank you to the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana for all that it does.

On September 16th (2007), we attend the Reunion Social at Karst Farm Park in Bloomington (Monroe County). We had a wonderful time. It was good to see some familiar faces from the House. It also nice to know that one of the people from the House remembered our family. We truly appreciated all the time, energy and effort that was put into this special event.

We always enjoy reading the quarterly newsletters. It is nice to be included in what's happening at and for the Ronald McDonald House. We feel it is good to include the donation envelopes with the newsletters. It's a great reminder for us about donating. We also enjoy giving when we receive the donation cards in the mail. Also, that is a great reminder for us so that we can continue to be part of the Ronald McDonald House, since it gave us so much in our time of need.

Again, thank you for all that you do. You are a blessing to so many people. God bless you always!

Every one in America knows what McDonald's is, but our family sees it as a little more than just a fast food restaurant. For us, the Golden Arches stand for hope. Nearly two years ago, we were far from home waiting on the arrival of the newest member of our family. Addison needed life saving surgery upon entering this world.

The Ronald McDonald House of Indiana was a dream come true! Allowing our family to be close by in this time of need. The expenses of food and lodging without the help of the House would not have allowed us to be so far from home for as long as needed. The hospitality of the staff and volunteers and the warmness of the of the House made our visit feel like a home away from home.

We appreciate the help in our time of need, and hope that the House helps many more people for a long time to come. We would like to make this donation so that you can help those in need.
